Adobe Courtyard 2, Santa Fe, NM
This Landscape format image of an adobe courtyard is the view taken of the New Mexico Museum of Art as seen from the street. The museum opened in 1917 and was the first building in the State of New Mexico dedicated to the Arts.
The building was designed by Architects Isaac Hamilton and William Morris Rapp to be an enlarged and modified version of the building they designed for the Panama-California San Diego Expo. The architectural Style is Pueblo Revival which uses modern materials to look like traditional stucco.It was previously named The Museum of Fine Arts.
Santa Fe is a very important International art center. Notable artists who found their way to Santa Fe are Georgia O'Keefe, Alfred Steiglitz and Gustave Baumann among others. It is also home to many actors and actresses.
Some of the best art Galleries can be found off of Canyon Road. Wandering in and out of the galleries is a wonderful way to spend a day in Santa Fe.
I am jaded because I live just outside of Manhattan but I have to say the Santa Fe art scene is the best I have found outside of NYC.

Cleaning
- Use a special acrylic cleaner available at most hardware stores.
- Or use a dampened, not soaked, 100% cotton cloth - like a T-shirt. Dampen with a mixture of dish washing soap and water.
- Never use an ammonia-based glass cleaner such as Windex. The ammonia will cloud the acrylic.
